Isaiah 65: Better Times A' Comin'!

As we approach the end of the book of Isaiah, the prophet unveils the wondrous new things that God will work as a part of the glorified creation.  This is a beautiful glimpse ahead and a good promise of better times a' comin'!

Specifically, Isaiah foresees:

• New heavens and a new earth (vs. 17).

• No more crying or distress (vs. 19).

• Longer lives.  No infant mortality, and people living well past 100 (vs. 20).

• No injustice as the result of military invasions (vs. 21-22).

• Blessings rather than curses (vs. 23).

• God readily answering prayers and petitions (vs. 24).

• Peace, with even the wild animals getting along (vs. 25).

This imagery continues to give us hope for the future even today as a glimmer of understanding of that which awaits us in heaven.  Isaiah's message is still just as true today as it was then: Better Times A' Comin'!
