As he discusses spiritual warfare and the armor of God in vs. 10-20, Paul repeatedly instructs the Ephesians "to stand."
- "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes..." (vs. 11)
- "You may be able to stand your ground..." (vs. 13)
- "...and after you have done everything, to stand." (vs. 13)
- "Stand firm, then..." (vs. 14)
Whatever else may be our goal in strapping on the armor of God in preparation for spiritual warfare, it is clear that Paul's advice is for us "to stand." Stand strong for the Lord!
