Psalm 111: Count His Blessings

The one hundred eleventh Psalm is a celebration of God's wonderful works.  The anonymous psalmist recounts the blessings of God upon His people and the world.

Here are some of the blessings of the Lord that we may delight in:

• His righteousness endures forever (vs. 3).
• He is gracious and merciful (vs. 4).
• He provides food (vs. 5).
• His precepts are trustworthy (vs. 7).
• He has redeemed His people (vs. 9).

Psalm 111 concludes with a phrase that we hear elsewhere in scripture in the Proverbs: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (vs. 10).  Surely, there are blessings too numerous to count that flow from our God!
