All the biblical books agree: Jesus bodily rose from the grave.
I love how - even after the Resurrection - the disciples still are confused about just what is going on. Mary thinks the body was stolen, Peter and (apparently) John race to the tomb and find it empty. They also "as yet did not understand the scriptures that he must rise from the dead." Thomas, even with all of his friends as eyewitnesses, refuses to believe without physical evidence.
But Jesus did, in fact, rise from the grave. Christians believe this resurrection to be the central defining event in all of human history. Sin was conquered! Death was defeated! Eternity was opened!
The disciple Thomas would probably be among those skeptics who say, "Seeing is believing." Jesus points out that, "Believing is seeing." Verse 29 is a word for many of us today who have not seen Jesus personally. May you be encouraged by Jesus' blessing: "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe."
Be blessed today!!
