Psalm 25 reads like the plea of a desperate man - a man desperate for forgiveness and deliverance.
David (again!) is the attributed author of this psalm. In it, you will hear the Lord called upon to forgive (vs. 7, 11, 18) and to rescue (vs. 2, 15, 16, 17, 20). The amount of trust that David places in God is profound. He recognizes that God is the One to call upon. He has complete faith that God CAN and WILL deliver him! This is a worthy example for us to follow.
This would be a good psalm to pray when you find yourself behind the 8 ball and feeling like you need to be saved out of your sin and your situation!
