It's always great to stumble across our church's namesake in scripture. Psalm 2:6 says, "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill." (NIV) For those who may be unaware, it is believed that "Zion's Hill" was the original intent behind "Science Hill!"
I am also struck by the parallels between this Psalm and our readings in the Gospel of John this past week. So much talk about Father/Son and acceptance/rejection.
I think this provides a good opportunity to ask the personal application questions about our readings from John. Have we accepted Jesus for Who He claims to be? Are we ready to embrace the Son?
