Revelation 14: Two Camps

The picture I get from Revelation 14 is that there are really only two options: you either belong to God and the Lamb, or to Satan the beast.

There are those who receive the mark of the beast (vs. 9) and those who have the seal of God (vs. 1).

There are those who will be harvested by the Son of Man like ripened grain (vs. 16) - perhaps a picture of the Rapture? - and those who will be gathered like clusters of ripe grapes, only to proceed to a bloody judgment (vs. 20).

When the time of the end comes (either THE end or our own personal end), we will either be in God's camp or Satan's.  There does not appear to be any third option presented in scripture.

  1. This is a text I battle with. Like you said, it appears there are only two options. You either belong to God, or you belong to Stan. But I feel like belonging to either one also entails following in their ways. And I have known some very nice people, who did very nice things, but did not know God. It's hard to imagine how they would belong to Satan though.
