Psalm 150: Praise Him With Everything!

"If you have it, praise God with it" seems to be the thrust of Psalm 150!

Some churches don't believe in employing instruments in worship, because the New Testament does not specifically mention musical instruments or endorse their use.  The Christian faith, however, is informed by both Testaments, and the cue to worship the Lord with such things as trumpets, tambourines, cymbals and even dance seems pretty authoritative.

We serve a big God, and He is big enough to be worshiped in a multitude of ways.  I like the idea that everything He created ("Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!" in verse 6) is called upon to praise God.  I believe that summons is still in effect.  After all, the New Testament says that one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Praise the Lord!  Amen!
